It\u2019s not an easy time for anyone so we\u2019ve put together a few helpful tips to help you focus on your overall health and wellness &#8211; some you might already know, but some might be new so give them a go!<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Take regular breaks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re working as normal on site or still at home in lockdown, taking breaks often is important. It gives your mind a chance to reset and it restores your energy levels. Get some fresh air where you can to avoid any wall-hitting later in the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Fuel up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to fuel your body with the right food and drink (this one\u2019s not so bad at Level 4 because there\u2019s no takeaways anyway!). Make sure you\u2019re drinking at least 1-2 litres of water during the day, and taking proper lunch breaks to enjoy your food.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Stretch it out<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As you\u2019ve got a pretty physical occupation, it\u2019s important to keep your muscles flexible and relaxed. The tighter they are, the more likely you are to be injured so be sure to do some quick stretches every day before and after all the heavy lifting to stay in top shape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Get 8 hours a night<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re not going to be any use to anyone if you\u2019re tired and moody. You should be getting 8 hours of sleep every night to help your body recover from the day\u2019s work. It\u2019s easy to lie in bed watching YouTube videos on your phone, but that\u2019s not sleep!<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Rest your mind<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meditation and mindfulness might seem a bit weird, but it\u2019s literally just taking time to rest your mind &#8211; just like your body needs rest, so does your mind. All it takes is for you to sit somewhere with your eyes closed and just focus on your breathing. It\u2019ll feel stupid at first, but you\u2019ll get the hang of it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Keep learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re bored and doing the same thing over and over, your mind is going to get lazy and you\u2019re going to feel rubbish.
